The G.P. Richards Family Tree reads: "John Richards Gentm. Removed from Coolstuff to Ballinastood Co Wexford about 1712 born about 1680. ob. about 1758. see will" and in pencil on the one version "my great grand father GPR" GPR as a signature. -------------------------------------------------------------- Balllinastood is located about half way between Clasheen and the sea -- south east of Gorey.. -------------------------------------------------------------- From Christopher Richards' Data Base: Will abstract in Welply's wills and pleadings Vol 6 Page 195. The GP Richards Family Tree reads: "Frances da. Richard Metcalf of Co_lahill Co. of Wicklow Gent. issue 3 sons." Will proved at Ballinastudd 1784 (Ferns Wills index). ------------------------------------------------ Comment BNE 2003: The name change from the Irish "Feanna" to the Anglo "Frances" could have been in reaction to the 1798 rebellion in Wexford.

The Richards Family Tree (The GPR Family Tree) was very likely prepared by George Pickering Richards in 1858. It exists in two nearly identical versions. Copies or perhaps the originals (both initialled in pencil GPR as a signature) likely belonged.
