The GP Richards Family Tree reads: "Frances da. Richard Metcalf of Co_lahill Co. of Wicklow Gent. issue 3 sons." The hard to read letter in in Co?lahill is probably an ' l '. -------------------------------------------- Alex Buchanan's reference have the first name as "Feanna." Name known from Lease dated 17 May 1778 when let 43 acres to Henry Richards. Deed no 260940. (source: Alex Buchanan). Will proved at Ballinastudd 1784 (Ferns Wills index). ------------------------------------------------ Comment BNE 2003: The name change from the Irish "Feanna" to the Anglo "Frances" could have been in reaction to the 1798 rebellion in Wexford.
