Wife: Margaret SMITH

Child 1: Feanna RICHARDS

Note on Husband: Edward RICHARDS - shared note

The GP Richards Family Tree reads in one version: "Edward Richard Gent. of Glascarrigg married and had issue 1 da ob 1761 Buried Donaghmore under a [family?] tombstone" Glasscarrigg spelled with one 's'. and "all the family up to this buried in Coolstuff x uncle to my Father. GPR." The second version of the GP Richards Family Tree reads: "My Father's Uncle GPR ??????family????????? buried in Coolstuff" This strongly suggests that the author of the fragmented document and the reviewer of the complete version to be George Pickering Richards. The initials GPR are run together like a signature not like an identification such as G.P.R. Edward is indeed the uncle to George Pickering Richards' father according to the pedigree. Passed along with the Richards material is a one page printed document consisting of letters of recommendation (1863) for George Pickering Richards who, according to the letters, had just completed work in the position of "office of Second Secretary to the late Commission for the Sale of Incumbered Estates in Ireland" and was a candidate for the "office of Petty Sessions Clerk for the Gorey District. It is notable that my family archive material contains other material specific to him. ------------------------------------------- Edward and Margaret had one daughter (probably Feana) who married Samual Martin of Glascarrig in 1774. The Richards Family Tree (The GPR Family Tree) was very likely prepared by George Pickering Richards in 1858. It exists in two nearly identical versions. Copies or perhaps the originals (both initialled in pencil GPR as a signature) likely belonged.
