Year of birth is a guesstimate Information from "The Hewetsons of Kilkenny" 1633 named in will and funeral entry of father, being then a minor. 6th June 1649 One of the Irish Protestant Officers of King Charles 1's Irish army which was disbanded by Cromwell. 1666 Grant of land under act of settlement dated 30 August, 18 Charles ll. This was to himself and his wife Jane of land in Thomastown, Smithstown, Stafford's lands, Dangene, three watermills, and the fairs and markets in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny totalling 560 Irish acres (=915 English acres) at a quit rent of £11 8s 9d. 14 July 1642 elected MP (Irish) for Borough of Swords (served till 1661)
