In 1901 he was staying with the Rev William Sells, recot of Nitton in the Isle of Wight, his daughtrer Euphemia was born in Ewell, Surrey and Brian is also listed as born in Ewell. Probably the Brian D Crossley who married Elizabeth Gendle in the March quarter of 1918 in Southampton, 2c page 29
