Adams, George Edward D’Arcy (1846-1926). Epsom College: 1858-1859 GEORGE EDWARD D’ARCY ADAMS (1846-1926). M.B., C.M. (Aberdeen), M.D., D.P.H. (Cantab.) [Epsom College 1858-1859] was the son of George Adams, surgeon, of Nailsea, Bristol. He received his medical education at King’s College, London and Aberdeen University. After several years as a surgeon in Montevideo, Uruguay, George Adams returned to England and joined his father in general practice in Maida Vale, London. He was also Medical Officer to the Paddington Provident Dispensary and Kilburn General Dispensary. He was proficient in no less than six foreign languages and translated articles in foreign medical journals for English publications.
